Windows Update is a complimentary service offered by Microsoft to deliver essential updates such as service packs, driver enhancements, and patches for the Windows operating system and other Microsoft software. While these updates are crucial for maintaining system security and performance, their automatic initiation can pose challenges in certain scenarios.

In environments where customer PCs are actively engaged in online activities, such as gaming, the automatic initiation of updates can result in unexpected interruptions. The background execution of updates may lead to increased read and write operations on the write-back disk, potentially causing system lags and disruptions.

Solution 1:

To address this issue, it is advisable for system administrators to carefully manage and schedule updates during periods of no user activity. This proactive approach ensures that critical updates are applied without negatively impacting the user experience during sensitive operations.

Solution 2:

Disable Windows update update in just a simple steps

  1. Choose any of your client PC and “Enable SuperClient” and then boot.

  1. Go to your client PCs and download this program Stop Updates Windows 10

  1. After downloading the program, install it and launch the program and just simply click "Stop Windows Update" button and it's done. (Figure 1)

  1. After doing the steps above, shutdown your PC and disable SuperClient to save.
